To say we live in crazy times would be an understatement. So it’s important to keep the sanity we still have. One way to do that: Don’t sweat the small stuff. Better yet, laugh at those smaller, messy moments life hands us. Celebrate them. Especially during the holidays. Because, in the grand scheme, they’re actually kind of funny. Life’s little comedies, each with its own unique form of imperfection.

We played outside our sandbox

Just off our massive rebrand, we seized the moment and evolved how we used photography, taking on a radically different POV: We stopped capturing beautiful, tasteful, aspirational moments – all smiles and Christmas trees – and moved to a more intentional use of raw, energetic, highly contagious photography the viewer identifies with and feels compelled to jump in.

We’ve brought the viewer in

We’re putting the viewer into the moment as one of the guys among us who knows just when to pull out their phone and get the shot – better than any of us. They make any moment, no matter how small, seem epic. And that shot is what the best holiday memories are made of.

From wallpaper to platform.

What started as our lifestyle photography strategy and concept scaled up to become Verizon’s 2024 Holiday integrated platform, adopted by our in-house channels and partner agencies

Tie-in to trade-in.

Telecoms are quick to copy each other. Holiday Mess helped Verizon step outside that cycle and drove home an industry first: Trade in your old device, no matter what shape it was in.

A record-breaking Holiday Mess

The Holiday Mess advertising drove leading emotional response in testing and it played out with impressive results in the wild.
